Gone Too Soon
John A Johnson Jr died in a car accident just shy of his 29th birthday. He was born to John Aaron &
Mary Jane Johnson. Although the couple had 3 girls, Marlene (17), Jane (15) & Virginia (12), they
were thrilled to welcome this bouncing baby boy into their family. Johnny, as they called him, was
the light of all of their lives. Two years later, another wonderful addition to the family, George.
John & George were pretty much inseparable their whole lives. Where there was John, there was
George. These two boys grew up side by side with their nieces and nephews. JoAnn, who was older than
both her uncles, Doyle, just a few months older than George and Jimmy, who followed right behind
George. Joan, Missy and Michael joined the niece and nephew gang during the mid to late 1960’s.
John was a son, brother, uncle, father and friend. Although he had many struggles as an adult, he
was deeply loved by so many people. It has been many years since John has passed, we all still miss
him very much!

I have not turned my back on you,
so there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven,
just beyond the morning sky.
I've seen you almost fall apart,
when you could barely stand.
I asked the Lord to comfort you,
and watched him take your hand.
He told me you are in more pain,
then I could ever be.
He wiped his eyes and swallowed hard,
then gave your hand to me.
Although you may not feel my touch,
or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you,
while I wiped each tear you cried.
So please try not to ache for me,
we'll meet again one day,
beyond the dark and stormy sky,
a Rainbow lights the way
